I thought I'd have a go at playing around in audacity and seeing what comes out. I haven't attempted sound effects before and the results aren't great but they might still find a use somewhere.

pulse_01.wav - A weapon fire/pulse sound. Unfortunately has a weird 8/16bit retro sound to it.

pulse_02.wav - A weapon fire/pulse sound. Unfortunately has a weird 8/16bit retro sound to it.

bang_01.wav - Some kind of rumble/explosion/hitting sound, not really sure if it has any purpose.

something_stop.wav - Some type of machinery or engine shutting down.

Interestingly, all these sounds (except bang_01.wav) use Ingar's Electric Heater.wav as a base, sped up, pitch deformed, chopped and otherwise mutilated. :>

The bang is a nice hit sound, the something_stop sounds a bit like the end is missing.
That Slide Time Scale/Pitch Shift filter in Audacity is interesting though Cheesy

something_stop sounds like when you come out of impulse or something.

Some stereo sounds will not sound correct if they are not mixed to mono.  Obviously you can do that in software if you have an editing program.  If your sounds are all mono, then using a mono cable would be fine.
