of planets, independent of the rule of the Great Houses. Each member of the Independent Colonies<br />
would retain its sovereignty but would act in the spirit of economic and military cooperation.<br />

Most of the political framework in the Colonies is dominated by the [[Merchants_Association|Merchants Association]],<br />
who have their headquarters conveniently located on [[planet_Ghant|Ghant]]. The Association dominates<br />
interplanetary transport within the Colonies and likes to kindly remind the other members of how their<br />
