Ah, I think those were generated via LordHavoc's LHFire, weren't they?

Mega made them, I know he used some program but I have no clue which one.

In the meanwhile, I've been messing around with particles: I've replaced the jumpgate
flare with a real vortex :D, the yellow blob in front of the jumpgate is a mine I blew up.

Improved explosion particles.

Looks much, much better. Out of curiosity what is the source for the actual "explosion" texture? Is there a higher resolution version?

It's a frame from the explosion animations mega once made (fx/explosion01_16),
the texture is 512x512 but hardly uses the available space.

I was dazzled when I first saw this video, suddenly it all looks like a real game :D
Remember 2010  ;D

Things we were talking about and need to be addressed:

- Projectile hitbox size is too small
- Aiming distance problems: aim uses the distance of the currently selected target: if it is too close, projectiles will collide and anihilate.
- Keys to target players only. (x?)

My remarks

- If the currently selected players is off-screen, the target indicator isn't very obvious
- Target indicators might need different colors
- "Third person" view is way too jittery: client interpolation will help, but camera handling needs to be reviewed. There are related problems with aiming in this camera mode
- A camera mode indicator, especially in Free View (Turret View)
- Mount button needs to work like the unmount button
- Fix having to press the respawn button twice

I have converted our current skybox collection to a quake3-compatible format and released them on the
Unvanquished and Xonotic forums. I added the choice to use them under GPLv2 at the request of one of the Xonotic devs. As far as I know I'm the only one who created skies, please remind me if I'm wrong.

I've also expanded on the skybox tutorial, maybe we'll end up with a number of people actually using Spacescape.
