Fuel System.
Rather ambiguous
Fuel for jumpdrive?
Fuel for flying?
Fuel for kinetic?
This was one of the gameplay ideas I originally wrote down, but so far I have no idea on how it would actually work.
It's probably more of a feature request than a planned feature.
Fuel for general flying does not sound fun at all, especially getting stuck in the middle of nowhere with no fuel. Also adds a refueling chore everytime you dock aswell as having to keep a constant eye on your fuel guage.
Fuel for the kinetic impulse drive is really just as lame, forcing you to 'limp' to a base if you run out of fuel. More of an annoyance tbh.
Jumpdrive fuel seems like an interesting way of stopping the feature from becoming overpowered, but that might be iffy with what is really a central game mechanic. Perhaps it costs more fuel to jump if you have many docked ships (more mass) or something? This also introduces a tactical sense of filling which carriers with what ships.
